F.C. Barcelona Impressive 4-0 Win over Real Madrid in 257th El Classico
On Saturday, October 26th, 2024, first place F.C. Barcelona faced off against second place Real Madrid in the 257th El Classico. El Classico is perhaps the greatest rivalry in World Football and its latest installment did not disappoint. Real Madrid suffered an embarrassing 4-0 home defeat at the Estadio Bernabéu. F.C. Barcelona came to play against a star-studded Real Madrid that featured the likes of Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham. The match was scoreless at halftime with an underwhelming performance from their star player, Mbappe. The Frenchman racked up a record of 9 offside calls in the first half which is more than he has ever had in his career. Robert Lewandowski broke the deadlock in the 54th minute of the match and followed it up with his second only 2 minutes later. In the 77th minute, F.C. Barcelona 17-year-old Star-boy, Lamine Yamal bagged the third goal for Barcelona. With this goal, Yamal became the youngest player to score in an El Classico, once again showing how despite his young age he can perform at the top level against anyone. It was the Brazilian, Raphina who scored the final goal of the night giving the Blaugranas a monumental victory over their rivals. F.C. Barcelona remain at the top of the table and look to keep their momentum going against Real Sociedad.
